报告题目:Non-display applications for LEDs and MicroLED

讲师简介:

Ioannis (John) Kymissis graduated with his SB, M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees from MIT. His M.Eng. thesis was performed as a co-op at the IBM TJ Watson Research Lab on organic thin film transistors, and his Ph.D. was obtained in the Microsystems Technology Lab at MIT working on field emission displays. After graduation he spent three years as a post-doc in MIT's Laboratory for Organic Optics and Electronics working on a variety of organic electronic devices and as a consulting engineer for QDVision. He joined the faculty at Columbia University in Electrical Engineering in 2006 as an assistant professor. John has won a number of awards for his work, including the NSF CAREER award, the IEEE EDS Paul Rappaport award, the Vodaphone Americas Foundation Wireless Innovation Award, the MIT Clean Energy Prize, and a Verizon Powerful Answers award. He recently served a term as the editor in chief of the Journal of the Society for Information Display, and was the general chair for the 2014 Device Research Conference.

Dr. Eugene Chow is a principal scientist and manager of the microsystems research group in the electronic materials and devices laboratory at PARC (a Xerox Company). PARC (www.parc.com) has been an influential innovation center for 50 years and performs research and development with various industrial and government partners. Dr. Chows work has focused on developing microsystems for applications in printing for manufacturing, electronics integration and biomedicine. Recent projects include micro-assembly printers for device integration, microsprings for electronics packaging and test, and microjets for drug delivery. He leads research projects at PARC with support from Xerox, other companies and the government, and has filed over 100 patents. He earned a B.S. from U.C. Berkeley in engineering physics, and did his graduate work at Stanford University (M.S. engineering management, M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical engineering).

讲师简介:

Francois J. Henley is President and CEO of Tesoro Scientific, Inc., a developer of in-process test and mass-transfer equipment for the microLED industry.

Prior to Tesoro, Mr. Henley worked at QMAT Inc. and Silicon Genesis Inc. where he helped develop GaN and silicon engineered substrate process technologies for the optoelectronics, display and electronics markets. Mr. Henley was also the founder and President of Photon Dynamics, a leader in LCD flat-panel production test equipment using the Voltage Imaging method for TFT array test he invented.

Mr. Henley holds a BSEE from RPI and an MSEE from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also completed PhD course requirements in quantum electronics and semiconductor materials science. Mr. Henley has authored over 30 papers and articles and is named in over 140 patents in the areas of metrology, SOI and opto-electronic processing.

In 2003 Alexander Loesing co-founded AZZURRO Semiconductors, a pioneering supplier of advanced GaN-on-Si epiwafers to the LED, power semiconductor and RF industry. As a member of the Executive Board he was responsible for establishing customer relationships with leading global semiconductor companies.

ALLOS Semiconductors is an IP licensing company for GaN-on-Si patents and technology and was also co-founded by Alexander. Since 2014 ALLOS is helping clients from the semiconductor industry worldwide to master GaN-on-Si technology by granting IP rights and transferring ALLOS epitaxial technology to its customers reactors. ALLOS technology is enabling breakthroughs for high-yield and low-cost for micro LED mass production. As CMO of ALLOS, Alexander continues to be responsible for customer relationships

刘应苍先生现任錼创科技的行销总监。他主要负责的项目为 MicroLED 的市场开发、技术与市场行销,以及新型显示应用。

刘应苍为台湾大学物理学士及美国波士顿大学电子工程硕士。他在显示产业已经有超过17年的经验,曾担任过面板设计工程师、产品经理、产品企划、和技术行销经理。在加入錼创科技之前,曾任职于友达光电、达意科技、台湾三星、以及台湾康宁。

屠孟龙,男,工学硕士。现任深圳雷曼光电科技股份有限公司技术研发中心高级总监职务,是深圳市高层次人才。多年从事LED产业的技术管理、产品管理工作。参与并主持了雷曼光电的科技部863项目、广东省科技厅战略新兴产业项目、深圳市科创委技术攻关项目等多个国家部委、广东省、深圳市的政府资助研发项目。参与并主持了雷曼光电Micro LED新型显示技术、产品的研发工作。在多个国家一级刊物上发表了4篇学术论文,到目前为止拥有80多件国内、国际专利,包括发明专利35件,其中发明专利LED及其封装方法(ZL201210339077.2)荣获2017年度中国专利优秀奖。

仉旭,于2014年毕业于电子科技大学,获微电子科学专业理学学士学位。2019年获得香港科技大学计算机与电子工程博士学位。目前,是香港科技大学计算机与电子工程博士后。研究领域主要包括单片GaN LED微显示器和基于GaN的垂直器件。
